New build, Alnwick

This new build situated in Alnwick, Northumberland was such an enjoyable project. As is typical of a new build, this space was a completely blank canvas and laid to lawn with only a slither of patio in front of the french doors. We worked closely with the clients who had a love for naturalistic planting and a clear idea of how they wanted to use the space which made it very much a collaborative effort. We zoned the garden using a range of materials and features, giving height and interest where there was none. It is now a pollinator haven with colourful borders, structure and space to enjoy.

To create different zones in the garden, enrich biodiversity and design naturalistic planting schemes. It was also important to think about this being a dog friendly garden for lovely Mabel who enjoys the garden as much as her owners.
The bespoke timber upright posts that section off the bottom part of the garden while giving enough of a glimpse through to create intrigue. They sit within a border and planting surrounds them to add a softness.
