We provide bespoke garden designs for outdoor spaces of all shapes and sizes from urban backyards to large country gardens. We work with you to provide a beautiful design tailored to your taste and site conditions. We take a nature friendly approach to all designs and choose thoughtful materials and plants at every opportunity with the changing climate in mind.

How it works
-
Initial Meeting
We start with a friendly chat to understand your vision for the space, including your desired outcome, budget, and timeline. This helps us get a clear idea of what you're looking for and ensures that we are both aligned on expectations before we move forward with any designs or larger site plans.
-
Site Survey
We conduct a detailed site survey, measuring the space, analysing the soil, and examining features like gradients. In larger gardens, or ones with large slopes or multiple levels, we’ll bring in a professional surveyor to conduct a topographic survey, ensuring accurate measurements for the design process.
-
Mood Boards
We present 3 mood boards to help visualize the design.
Board 1: Illustrates the overall garden style.
Board 2: Any features, materials & hard standing. e.g timber paths, patio, pergolas.
Board 3: Proposed planting style, colour and specific plant suggestions. -
Concept Plan
We prepare an initial concept plan, a digital sketch that outlines the design intent. At this stage you can easily make changes to the layout, features, and materials. This plan just helps us finalise details and ensures the design aligns with your vision before we move on to the next stage in the process.
-
Final Design
We present the final design plan in a hand-drawn format, along with a digital version for reference. This detailed, scale drawing includes all the specifics required and is ready for your landscaper. It’s a comprehensive guide to ensure your vision is executed perfectly and to bring the design to life.
-
Planting Plan
A detailed, to-scale, plan focusing on year-round interest. It includes plant selections tailored to your preferences, ensuring variety and seasonal beauty. This brings the garden together, complementing the overall design and providing a vibrant, living landscape that fits your style and environment.

If you’re thinking of making improvements to your garden, recruiting the expertise of a Garden Designer will ensure the garden has been planned with thought and expertise that will mean the space is used to its full potential. This very much depends on your requirements and the size of the project. Roughly you should expect 2-3 months for a design to be delivered. It is not a quick process as there are many elements to a design and a lot of planning. There will be several meetings along the way to discuss progress and tweak the design until you are happy with the final plan.
-
After the initial meeting, a quote will be given with a bespoke design fee. It will vary from project to project depending on the site and your requirements. The initial meeting is free and with no obligation to proceed, a quote is given to help you decide whether you would then like to proceed.
